Rent for a DAY: Circle Area Formula

Circles are the most universal shapes in nature, design, and, of course, school mathematics across P-12 and beyond! Frequently, we have students who would say π (PI) is 3.14 and the area of a circle is πR^2, struggling to explain why? In this unit, we will learn about the true meaning of π (PI) and make sense of the meaning behind the circle area formula in a playful and artistic way.
